Help is needed to find family of deceased

Mitchell’s Plain police are appealing to the community to help in finding the family of a deceased man.

The man is believed to be between the ages of 45 and 50.

He died at the Mitchell’s Plain Day Hospital on Friday 5 July. It is unclear how the man arrived at the hospital.

According to a statement, police received a complaint at 23:30 about a man who died at the hospital after struggling to breathe.

The statement read the man was put on an oxygen machine but unfortunately did not make it.

“He is described as a coloured male and was dressed in a striped blue and white t-shirt and grey pants,” the statement read.
