The post office in Hout Bay was robbed by an armed suspect earlier this morning (Thursday 1 August).

According to Hout Bay police spokesperson Tanya Lesch a suspect entered the post office at approximately 10:00 this morning and threatened the employees with a firearm.  

He left the post office with an undisclosed amount of cash.  

A Ford Bantam bakkie was found abandoned close to the crime scene. 

Lesch also confirms no arrests have been made as yet, with police following up on all leads.
