Shoppers were in for a treat when 12 little girls and seven little boys strutted their stuff at the finals of the Little Miss and Little Mr Westgate Mall at the weekend.

The competition was open to girls and boys between the ages of five and nine.

This was the first year that little boys were invited to compete.

The finals were held at Westgate Mall on Saturday, with Oluhle Mtembu being crowned as Little Miss Westgate Mall and Niyaaz Sonday crowned as the first Little Mr Westgate Mall.

For the boys, Amat Ikau Ikoli was crowned Mr Personality, Seraj Barends was First Prince and Ukhona Gqogqonyeka was second prince.

The other finalists were Zoen Mc Arthur, Imange Maqhutyawa and Aqhama
Bangani.

Miss Personality was Jayda McKie, First Princess was Minhaaj Ederies and Second Princess was Sasha Lotterens.

Tiara Cloete, Leah Golding, Nuha Van Schalkwyk, Haddiyah Hanslo, Ra’eesah Larine, Riley Golding, Dakota Pietersen, Courtney Bastian were the other finalists.

Little Miss Westgate Mall 2017, Cassidy Sasman, was also at the event to crown the new queen and share a bit about her charity work and year as queen.
