TRUE iiNK MAFiA from Capricorn near Muizenberg dropped their latest EP project called 5 Min Late on Friday 23 November.

The movement is made up of six members, namely Leoson Mandyera, Nangamso Zomba, Lonwabo Mbokwna, Justin Fenner, Shane Agreement and Jabulani Dlamini. Their latest offering has seven tracks.

Member Jabulani Dlamini says their message is simple and is for everyone.

They aim to motivate everyone that everything is possible.

“We aim to motivate and remind people that they can do anything. Our message is that anyone who has a dream should never be afraid to follow it no matter how long it takes, because as a wise man once said, ‘it’s better late than never’. So, it might take time but taking one little step is better than not taking a step at all,” he says.

Unique movement

The group members say what makes them different from everyone else in their profession is that they provide a very different type of delivery in their music and they always go way beyond the “norm” with their music.

“From our perspective, we consider our type of music to be mostly rap with a bit of trap in the middle. We enjoy what we do and we are glad that our EP is finally out,” Dlamini says.

He adds that they would very much like to work with Dj Sliqe.

“Dj Sliqe is a very creative beat maker and since we are versatile we can work with him and bring out the best in each other,” he says.
