Ward 60 councillor Mark Kleinschmidt delivered much-needed educational equipment to the Lansdowne, Kenwyn, Rondebosch East and Sybrand Park (LKRS) early childhood development centres on Friday morning.

The special handover event forms part of his ward’s allocation and was hosted by Aziza Ebrahim, the principal of Jumpstart ECD in Kenwyn. Local teachers, principals and children received various items on the day and the programme included presentations by the City of Cape Town’s Ottery Fire Station and the Think Water campaign, featuring Manzi the Water Warrior, among others.

First-aid kits were also handed over to several ECD principals who completed a first-aid course earlier this year, says Kleinschmidt. V For more information on the handover, contact Verita Lesar on 021 762 4894 or at VeritaClaudine.Lesar@capetown.gov.za.
