Janine Davidson, Longbeach Mall Marketing Manager, won the South African Shopping Centres Footprint award for the Eco Art Competition that she ran earlier this year at the mall. She is now entered into an international competition.“I would love to inform the community of this amazing win for the shopping centre as the schools and so many people were involved to help make it the success it was,” Davidson says.The Annual South African Council of Shopping Centres (SACSC) Footprint Marketing Awards seek to recognise exceptional shopping centre marketing, innovation and creative achievements, together with economic success, within the South African property industry. The 2018 Footprint Marketing Award winners were announced on Thursday 18 October at the SACSC Annual Congress, held at Durban’s International Convention Centre. Longbeach Mall won Gold for the Eco Art Schools Competition. All Gold SACSC Footprint Marketing Awards are automatically entered into the International Council of Shopping Centres’ VIVA Awards which is drawn early in 2019. “I would like to share my success with everyone involved from the awesome Centre Management team, amazing Mustard Seed studio and designer, Driekie van Biljon to all the participating local schools, Waste-Ed, African Earth Rights, Eco Bricks Deep South, Community Artist Irene Oxley and Tracey Reyes of Prism Events who all bought into the vision and helped turn the campaign into a Gold winning campaign,” Davidson says.
