Laurence Wright talk on the diary of WD Terry, who was at Cambridge when war broke out. His diary shows “travel, love and learning jostle with international politics, militarism and confusion”.

The diary follows his travels to Ireland, Paris and the US, as well as his romantic ­adventures.
