Thomas Williams (27) from Flamingo Heights informal settlement was sentenced to three years imprisonment for three different cases. He was sentenced in the Wynberg magistrate’s court on the Tuesday 11 February.

Williams was found guilty for breaking into a doctor’s surgery in August 2018 and stole items worth R19 000, including medicine. At the time of the crime he was on the run. Williams was arrested on 26 November 2019 for house breaking and theft of a laptop in Flamingo Heights.

After taking his fingerprints he was linked to the two cases of possession of stolen property at the business in Castor Road and the surgery. WO Gregory Grey, the investigating officer, had worked tirelessly to ensure that the accused are brought to book.

Lansdowne station commander Colonel Shawn van Wyk applauded the work done by the investigating officer.
