The Mitchell’s Plain tactical response team confiscated mandrax worth almost half a million Rand last week as they continue to clamp down on the local drug trade.According to a police report, officers held high-density patrols on Wednesday last week.Police spokesperson Captain Lance Goliath says officers raided a “well-known” drug den in Kreupelhout Street at 20:40 and seized mandrax with an estimated street value of R475 000. Three Lentegeur men – aged 36, 42 and 43 years – were arrested for possession of drugs.
