The Shukrul Mubeen Ladies’ Society (SMLS) recently held their fifth Summer Market Day.

The market day is one of the SMLS’s main fundraising initiatives. Funds raised at the market will be used for various outreach initiatives hosted by the society in the next year.

The society is affiliated to the Shukrul Mubeen Mosque in York Road, Lansdowne and was established in 1996 in an effort to tackle some of the social issues faced by the community. This includes providing sandwiches to the elderly waiting at pension payout points for lengthy periods.
