The Mitchell’s Plain police cluster held its annual Women’s Day event on Thursday 8 August in Lansdowne.

Athlone, Grassy Park, Lansdowne, Lentegeur, Mitchell’s Plain, Philippi, Steenberg and Strandfontein police stations were represented at the event.

The theme for the event was a P-party and the ladies dressed like princesses, pirates, prisoners, priests, painters, punks, police and everyone confidently “rocked” the theme.

Candice Manuel, a motivational speaker from Embrace your Curves, encouraged the ladies and challenged them to embrace themselves for who they are.

Mitchell’s Plain police spokesman Captain Ian Williams thanked the executive team Captain Mary-Ann Naidoo, Maxcine Wyman, Annette Moyo, Jonica Isaacs and Zita Norman who made the day possible.
