No end in sight for postal delays

2018-07-17 06:01

Yesterday I queried the continual non-delivery of mail at my post office box in Sun Valley.

I was given a telephone number for the Fish Hoek Post Office depot, only to be advised that the go-slow/strike in Johannesburg is preventing all overseas post reaching local depots.

The continued delay of mail for over four weeks has no end in sight and is a reflection of how pathetic the post office’s non-delivery service has become.

I have no end of questions to ask:

Is no one capable of finding a solution to this debacle?

Will the post office refund me for overseas magazine subscriptions and for paying for a post box which has no mail delivered to it?

When will efficient and reliable people be employed and a paid for service delivery be available again?
