Police are still requesting help in solving a double murder from November last year.

Mitchell’s Plain police were called to a Miami Way home on Tuesday 29 November at about 23:00 in relation to a shooting incident that took place there.

It is alleged that two unknown men got out of a white Fiat Uno (registration number CA 498 094) in Merrydale Avenue and walked through a lane to Miami Way.

The men approached two victims from behind and started shooting at them.

Both victims were shot in the head and the suspects fled the scene in the Uno.

The first victim, aged 26, died on the scene. A second 14-year-old boy was rushed to hospital but later died as a result of his injuries.

Police say the victims were not affiliated to any gangs.

The motive for the shooting is unknown.

Police say the car’s registration plates were falsified.

At this stage no-one has been arrested.

V Anyone with information on the murder is urged to call the investigating officer, detective Sergeant Randall Davids, on 021 370 1782 or 081 567 2810.
