2017-10-31 06:00

Local artists, crafters and members of the public are invited to a Streetopia event in Observatory on Saturday 25 November.

It will take place at the community centre, on the village green and along a stretch of Lower Main Road from 10:00 to 18:00.

The streets will be open to pedestrians and cyclists, buskers and performers.

The event is hosted in a partnership between AfrikaBurn, OBSID and the Observatory Civic Association.

Residents of Observatory, Salt River, Woodstock and surrounds will get a chance to exhibit their art and craft, host market stalls and dress up for a day of pageant.

According to the organisers, artworks and mutant vehicles from AfrikaBurn will be on display.
