One car, no chips

2017-09-05 06:01

Instead of getting the takeaways he wanted, a man’s green Opel Kadett was stolen at the Golden Dish in Rylands last weekend.

The man and his friend stopped at the shop in Hazel Road to buy food last Sunday at 04:00, according to police.

A group of unknown men was standing there and one man threw a stone against the driver’s side window. Another man grabbed the keys from the ignition and a third man opened the passenger door.

One of the men held a big knife and told the driver to get out the car. The men got into the car and drove away.

The victims were not injured.

No-one has been arrested yet.

V Anyone with information on the theft can call Crime Stop on 0860 010 111.
