2018-10-23 06:00

If you are an unemployed youth, looking to uplift yourself through various skills programmes, then Heideveld Library is the place to be on Friday morning.

Local non-profit organisation Young People@Work, in partnership with the Manenberg People Centre, will host an open day to empower unemployed youth to access decent employment or further training opportunities.

The programme will take place from 09:00 to 14:00, where unemployed youth will be given the opportunity to meet with the team of YoungPeople@Work and learn more about professional job-seeking skills, CV writing, interview skills and what companies are looking for.

The organisation will also help to update participants’ CVs for free.

Frank Julie, the founder and director of the group, will facilitate the open day. He says interested participants will meet job placement and referral partners. Certificates will also be issued on the day.

Dreamworker, Harambee, Lulaway, RLabs, I-College, Reach - Make It, and Ashley Kriel Skills Development Centre will also be present to give their input. V For more information or to book send a WhatsApp message to 063 178 4523 or 078 812 4603.
