With more than 20 years’ experience and willingness to help, a local pensioner is making time for those who need advice.

Pastor Melvin du Toit is offering his services free of charge “as [an accredited] Christian counsellor, and a pensioner, having been counselling since early 1992 in vast areas of our communities”.

His offer comes after “seeing how many people are hurt, abused and downtrodden in the various aspects of life”.

“One would be naive to say that large numbers would come for counselling. However, there are many,” he says.

He is offering counselling on all matters, including broken marriages, drug abuse and family disorientation.

His service is by appointment only. He is available from Tuesdays to Thursdays from 10:00 to 12:00 and from 19:00 to 21:00.

The sessions are free but monetary donations are welcome.

“Our communities are hurt and I wish to help where possible,” he says.
