Two suspects will be appearing in Wynberg magistrate’s court on Friday 9 June after they were arrested for being found in possession of bicycles worth R11000.

Two constables from Wynberg arrested the suspects after they noticed the men behaving in a suspicious way.

Wynberg police spokesperson Captain Ntomboxolo Nqunqeka says two cases were opened for each suspect and they appeared in court on Friday 12 May. “Bail was opposed and the suspects denied their bail application. An investigation revealed that the two suspects had broken into a house in Piers Road. The owner was called to open a case where he positively identified the stolen bicycles. They will be charged for housebreaking and possession of stolen property.”
