A Nigerian foreign national who allegedly planned to make a drug drop in Rocklands, Mitchell’s Plain was stopped in his tracks by police over the weekend.

According to a report by provincial police, officers of the Mitchell’s Plain Crime Prevention Unit (CPU) received a radio call at about 14:00 on Saturday 14 January for assistance in Portlands.

Police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk says the 50-year-old Nigerian foreign national was found in possession of R6 500 in cash,  tik with an estimated street value of R12 500 and 50 grams of heroin.

According to the report the man was making his way to Rocklands where he planned to drop off the drugs.
