Police nab suspect for drugs

A 40-year-old man was arrested by members of the Mitchell’s Plain Crime Prevention Unit (CPU) after they received a complaint of people doing drugs (smoking dagga) at a house in Honolulu Street in Tafelsig, police spokesperson Sergeant Jerome Voegt said.

Voegt said the suspect was arrested at 21:40. “The members made their way to the house, searched it and found 29 half Mandrax tablets covered in silver foil. They also found a plastic bags containing six stops of dagga.

The suspect will appear in court in Mitchell’s Plain soon.
