Police arrested two men on suspicion of drug dealing in Rondebosch East following a recent drug bust.
Police were tipped off on Monday 26 November and followed up on the information at 13:55. The two suspects were arrested at a house in Hanbury Road by the Provincial Crime Intelligence Unit.
According to the officers, information was received that a delivery of drugs was to arrive at the house from Durban.
A description of the suspect’s vehicle was also given.
The officers followed the car, a silver Toyota Etios, from a postal agent in Plumstead where the parcel had been collected.
Then, at the home, officers approached the man and searched the parcel he was carrying, where they discovered the drugs. The officers continued into the house and found other men who were also searched.
Officers found dagga plants being grown in one of the rooms, a brown box full of dagga, R3700 in cash and 200 Rohypnol tablets worth R30 000.
Two men were arrested immediately after admitting that they were dealing in drugs and that all the drugs belonged to them.
