Maitland police are on the hunt for a man who allegedly made fraudulent purchases at a Brooklyn store to the value of R34 000.

Police spokesperson, Constable Lorencial Johnson, says on 8 November this man entered a store inside a mall in Koeberg Road and purchased a 55 inch television, double door fridge and a silver washing machine with a credit card.

Johnson says it was later discovered that the items were purchased with a stolen card.

“Assistance is needed from the public in order to identify the person in the picture as he can help the police to solve this case.”

Anyone who can help identify this man is asked to call Maitland police on 021 506 9400 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111
