In an ongoing effort to see peace and unity in the community, a local organisation is honouring its commitment to bringing regular prayer activities to Mitchell’s Plain.

On Saturday 29 July, the Community Prayer Movement hosted a women and family empowerment campaign in Tafelsig.

The aim of the organisation is to facilitate the building of the community through prayer and to do so by arranging interdenominational prayer activities in various areas affected by social ills.

The last event started with a prayer walk from Kapteinsklip station to the Tusong Centre, where a service was held.

The event also featured entertainment by local artists, a human chain and speakers.
