Public needs to help find suspects

The Lentegeur police are urgently requesting assistance from the public with the investigation of a burglary.

The incident took place on Monday 11 March at about 08:20 on Bluebird Road in New Woodlands.

According to a statement issued by Mitchell’s Plain police spokesperson, Capt Ian Williams, the complainant and her husband allegedly arrived back at home when they noticed unknown men coming out of their garage. “The men pointed a gun at them,” the statement said. According to the statement, the husband drove through the fence and fetched the security guards. The men fled the scene and took ladders, glasses, groceries, electrical leads and a table.

According to the statement: “No one was injured and no shots were fired.”
