Report crime, police urge

2018-06-19 06:01

Sea Point police are urging the community to report all crime – no matter how small – as soon as possible, and to give all relevant information.

This is to ensure that the police are aware of all incidents for deployment purposes.

“It is of no use to report crime via social media and not report it to the police,” says Sea Point police spokesperson, Captain Elizabeth Munro.

“We need to emphasise again the importance of not leaving valuables visible in your vehicle.

Previously Sea Point police experienced the remote jamming method; however there has been an increase in the breaking of car windows.

“By working together we can curb crime.”

V For an emergency, contact 10111 or contact Sea Point Police Station on 021 430 3700.
