Reward for schools to compete in Impi Challenge

2016-09-27 06:00

The Impi Challenge has now added a schools competition category.

The outdoor test of a combination of stamina and strength as well as teamwork, will reward the top performing schools with cash for the school and prize hampers for the school team members.

A R5000 cash prize is up for grabs for the winning school (paid to the school), as well as a Montagu Dried Fruit and Nut snack pack for every learner at that school. A hamper prize worth R1000 for the winning team consists of products and vouchers from Biogen, Canterbury, Spur, SMW, Montagu Dried Fruit and Nuts.

The Impi experience, although highly challenging, is equally rewarding and gives youngsters an opportunity to discover more about their own abilities (both physical and mental) as well as those of their teammates, all within a spectator-lined course.

The schools event is over a 5 km distance consisting of 11 obstacles. It takes place during the Sunday leg of the Impi Challenge events from 10:00 to 12:00. The schools category caters for ages 10 and up, with a reduced entry fee of R200 per person.

All school entries will receive a Montagu Dried Fruit and Nut snack pack and each team member will be provided with the following:

. Free official printed finisher’s photo with the Impi Victory Shield

. Free post-event massage courtesy of EPT Recovery and Deep Heat

. Montague Dried Fruit and Nuts snack pack

. Free SPF40 sunblock, courtesy of Cansa Active

. Free entry to the festival area for all spectators

. Free Biogen electrolyte product at water points and at the finish

. Free Deep Heat shower gel to enjoy in the hot showers

. Free parking courtesy of Mitsubishi Motors

. Promos during the day in the festival area

. Competitions to win hampers, phones and experiences.

The Cape Town leg of the Impi Challenge takes place in Leivland, Stellenbosch on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 November.
