Robbers light up during theft

Brazen robbers made off with a computer during a house robbery in Eastridge.

On Monday 15 August at 04:20 Mitchell’s Plain police received a complaint of a house break-in at a Sour Fig Street home.

On their arrival police were informed by the complainant that she woke up to a loud bang on the front door.

The home owner found the door had been kicked and six men were inside the house.

One of the tenants also woke up and was threatened with a firearm. One of the suspects unplugged a computer while the others were smoking dagga in the kitchen.

No shots were fired and no-one was injured. No arrests have been made.V Anyone with information on the incident is urged to contact the detective unit on 021 370 1782.
