Safety fun day for families

2017-12-12 06:00

The Muizenberg Community Safety Initiative will be holding an event themed “Big safety day out” on Saturday.

Families are invited to meet the crime fighters and local heroes who volunteer their time to keep the community safe. Children will also be fingerprinted by the Pink Ladies as part of their drive to record the details of children for use in case they go missing.

The event will take place at the Muizenberg Pavilion from 14:00 to 17:00.

There will be a raffle with tickets of R50 each, with prizes to be won, including a breakfast voucher at Empire Café, a surf lesson by Gary’s Surf School, a five-person surf experience by Surf Emporium, a wetsuit changing mat from Surf Lab, wine gift hampers from Cape Negociants, a diner voucher at Joon, a three-night stay at Muizenberg Guestique, a pet food voucher at As Nature Intended, eight prints by Elaine Millin Art and Soul and a voucher at Striped Horse.
