The Tusong Centre hosted 360 seniors from ward 82 at the weekend. The special event was hosted by local councillor Sheval Arendse and the City of Cape Town.

With local councillors and premier Helen Zille paying a visit, the seniors enjoyed lunch and live entertainment by local band the Young Visitors from Lentegeur.

On Saturday from 10:00 to 14:00, the seniors aged 60 and older – all from ward 82 – enjoyed themselves.

Some of the seniors also won spot prizes for dressing in their best variations of the “Kaapse jol” theme.
