The ForwardFund Academy situated in Solaris Office Park, Kommetjie Road, Sunny Acres is inviting local businesses to give back to others on Wednesday 18 July (Mandela Day).

The businesses are invited to join in the celebrations and take 67 minutes out of their day to mentor small and start-up businesses in the area at the academy from 12:00.

Earlier in the morning, small and start-up business are invited to come to the academy and receive assistance in starting up a Facebook page and having their information captured on a business online portal hub for the local area. Photocopying services are available and assistance will be given in designing promotional flyers.

As part of their 67 minutes contribution on Mandela Day, the ForwardFund Academy students are teaming up with Brendan Jenson from the Noordhoek Hub to set up and launch the “Village Directory”. Each student is currently seeking out people and small businesses in their communities to include on the directory. Each student must identify three enterprises and on Mandela Day an interview will be conducted, a short video filmed, a photograph taken and the profile uploaded.

ForwardFund is then offering a free short course from New Venture Creations on entrepreneurial skills and tools needed in the successful workspace.

If you have online and business skills, please come forward and offer your services in equipping others in what they need. V Contact or 021 782 8816 or 071 776 4851
