Soccer plays for kids

2016-11-01 06:00

A youth development movement is taking place in Kewtown and soccer is the tool used to improve the quality of life for youngsters in the area.

Aqeel Alcock started hosting five-a-side soccer tournaments on a basketball court. He is now preparing to host a bigger tournament on Saturday 26 November open to more teams.

The tournament is open to u.9 and u.11 teams. Matches generally start at 08:30 on Saturdays.

The draw for the tournament takes place this Saturday. “We are doing this for the kids in our area, because we grew up in the area and it is time to give back.

This is our saying: ‘The greatest give you can give someone is your time, because when you give your time, you are giving a portion of your life that you will never get back.’”V For more information contact Andre on 078 531 1614 or Mark on 062 241 9691.
