Police found two stolen vehicles – a car and a motorbike – in one morning.

On Thursday last week at about 08:30 members of Mitchell’s Plain police were busy with patrols in Otello Crescent, Eastridge when they spotted a suspicious white Ford Lazer.

“When the members investigated the matter they discovered that the car had been reported stolen in a Cape Town Central case during September,” says Lieutenant Ian Williams, police spokesperson.

A 55-year-old man was arrested on a charge of possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle.

Earlier that same morning a suspect was arrested for possession of a suspected stolen motorbike.

Police officers were busy with a tracing operation in Jungfrau Crescent, Tafelsig when they spotted the suspicious motorbike.

Upon further investigation they discovered that the yellow Jonway motorbike had been stolen in Wynberg during December.

A 32-year-old man was arrested on a charge possession of a stolen motorbike.
