A Strandfontein man was arrested on Wednesday (10 May) after he was caught with a zip gun.

According to a report from Metro Police spokesperson, Senior Superintendant Zelda Martin, officers of the K9 unit received a tip-off shortly after 13:00 about the sale of drugs in an open field in Strandfontein.

“Officers responded and found a 29-year-old man in the field with a zip gun and a single round. He was arrested for possession of a prohibited firearm and ammunition and detained at Strandfontein Police Station for further investigation.”
