Swift response by vigilant police officers led to the arrest of four men who allegedly committed a business robbery at a shopping mall in the area on Friday 6 July.

Officers responded to the robbery at a jewellery store. According to information, four men used a hammer to smash the window and stole watches and jewellery before fleeing on foot.

Police gave chase. A shooting incident followed that left one suspect wounded. He and two others were arrested behind the mall.

Officers caught a fourth man carrying bags containing jewellery, watches, cellphones and a hammer.

Gloves, a mask and a jacket presumably belonging to one of the suspects were also recovered in the vicinity of the crime scene.
