The Easter Bunny and his magical fairy friend are hosting adventures for children at the Table Mountain cable stations this Easter weekend, with a range of activities taking place from Friday 15 to Sunday 17 April between 10:00 and 14:00 daily.

From buskers and magicians to activity books and face painting, waiting in the queue to the cable car to go up Table Mountain will be made so much easier with the children’s entertainment on hand.

The highlight of the weekend’s activities is a free Easter egg hunt around the cableway station on top of the mountain on the hour every hour on Easter Sunday, with children given clues at the lower cableway station before they embark on their mountain-top adventure.

Tips for your visit. Leave your car in the parking lot at the bottom of Tafelberg Road. From there you can catch the free MyCiTi shuttle to the lower cableway station. Shuttles depart every 30 minutes between 07:00 and 19:00.

. Avoid the ticket office queue and buy a ticket online at tablemountain.net.

. Check tablemountain.net or the cableway’s social media before your visit. These can guide you on weather conditions, queue times and if the cable car is working or not.

. Free 30-minute guided tours depart from the Twelve Apostles terrace below the Shop at the Top and Table Mountain Café, on the hour from 09:00 to 15:00 daily.

Download free Table Mountain Cableway audio tours via Voicemap. With two tours to choose from, this app will give you insightful information on the fauna and flora of the area, and provide you with maps of the mountain-top pathways.
