Officials have sent out an urgent request for teachers to submit their CVs for eight temporary teaching positions at a new school, set to open early next month.

Construction started at the site of Washington Drive Primary School in Colorado Park last year, with furnishing and classrooms almost complete.

Ricardo MacKenzie, parliamentary head for Mitchell’s Plain says: “Washington Drive Primary School is opening early February and they are urgently looking for foundation phase teachers. I urge those that fit the criteria to apply as soon as possible to ensure the 240 learners from the area and surrounds benefit from their skills.”

Suitably qualified candidates can apply for the Grade 1, 2 and 3 educator positions.

CVs must be submitted by Thursday 23 January at 11:00.

Send an email to arendse.aloe@gmail.com.

It can also be delivered to the school.

Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed on Saturday 25 January.
