Teen killed in shooting incident

A 15-year-old boy was shot and killed in Lansport Road, Hanover Park on Thursday morning.

According to police spokesperson Captain Lance Goliath, the victim, who was declared dead on the scene by medics, sustained multiple gunshot woulds to his body and head.

Goliath adds that five spent cartridges were found on the scene and two unknown men fled the scene on foot.

Philippi police station commander Colonel Dennis Abels attended to the crime scene and condemned the killing and is urging the public to come forward with information.

Police is investigating a murder and anybody with information is requested to call the investigation officer detective Sergeant Zamuxolo Lengesi on 0736768983 or 0216901517 or Crime Stop on 086010111.
