Teen shot at his house

A 16-year-old narrowly escaped death after he was shot in his head and right arm in St Christopher Avenue, Lavender Hill last Tuesday afternoon.

Steenberg police spokesperson Warrant Officer John Bartlett says Steenberg police officers were stopped by a community member who told them about the shooting.

“According to the 16-year-old victim he was standing in front of his house when two men approached him and fired several shots at him. The victim was transported to Victoria Hospital by an ambulance.

“No arrests have been made yet.”
