A 32-year-old man was arrested in connection with a drug bust in Beacon Valley on Sunday 4 February.

At about 19:30, Mitchell’s Plain Crime Prevention Unit officers received information about drugs being sold on the field near Epsom Crescent.

Police spotted a suspicious-looking man and stopped him.

The man was searched and police found 71 packets of tik in his possession.

The man was arrested and faces a charge of possession of drugs.

The suspect is expected to appear in court soon and police say the man is not a gangster.
