Two Physical Culture Association (PCA) South African pros will compete for the very first time on South African soil at the Battle of the Titans VI Pro-am on 22 and 23 June at the Durbanville High School auditorium.

Local pros Cobus van der Merwe and Roxanne McLachlan, and UK-based Kerry Sexton among others, will draw massive crowds.

Amateurs competing also stand a chance to earn their pro cards.

The show, created by PCA South Africa president Kevin Schwartz, has grown in leaps and bounds and the addition of pros on stage will take the show to a whole new level.

“The show has grown so much, attracting the very best athletes all around the country. With this show now being a pro-am, it makes it the premier show in the Western Cape and most certainly one of the very best in South Africa.

“I am proud of how far we have come in such a short amount of time. It makes all the hard work and late hours worth it,” says Schwartz.

The public is urged to get their tickets from Computicket well in advance as a sell-out crowd is expected for both days. Tickets have been on sale since May.

The Friday sees the novice men, juniors, ladies’ toned and athletic figure, and men’s beach model and physique taking the stage. The show starts at 18:00.

Saturday will see a battle of its own with the ladies’ trained bikini, men’s muscle model, classic bodybuilding, ladies’ trained and toned figure, masters, all the various senior men’s divisions and the much-anticipated pro women’s bikini and pro men’s bodybuilding.

The live judging starts at 16:00.

Go Health Club in TygerValley Shopping Village will be the host on Friday 22 June from 12:00 to 15:00 for weigh-in and registration. Standard seating is R150 each for the Friday and Saturday with VIP seats at R250. Seating for both days can be bought together for R250, with the VIP selling at R400 for both days.
