The Constantia Valley is now home to a tourism office. The office has been running since the first week in May.

Positioned on the Groot Constantia Wine Estate and where Cape Town felt its first tourism heartbeat, the Constantia Valley Tourism Office expects to welcome thousands of visitors annually.

The opening of a region specific tourism office is an exciting development for the Constantia Valley as it will help to promote the region to all visitors, while also providing a central point to gather resources and information about local services and events.

The Constantia Valley is popular with visitors throughout the whole year, particularly the summer months.

Apart from boasting a magnificent award-winning wine route consisting of Steenberg Vineyards, Constantia Uitsig, Klein Constantia, Buitenverwachting, Groot Constantia, Eagles Nest Vineyards, Constantia Glen, Beau Constantia and Silvermist Vineyards, the restaurants and accommodation are some of the best that Cape Town has to offer.

The Constantia Valley is also home to two of the Eat Out Restaurant Awards’ top ten restaurants in South Africa – chef Scot Kirton’s world famous La Colombe and The Greenhouse at The Cellars Hohenort Hotel.

Grant Newton, marketing manager of Groot Constantia, says the office opened at the best possible time.

“As one of ‘Cape Town’s Big 7’ and being the most visited tourist attraction in Constantia, now welcoming close to 500 000 visitors annually, we just feel the timing couldn’t have been better,” he says.

“We are constantly striving to meet the demands of a new kind of traveller and the official Constantia Valley Tourism office opening on our estate seemed like a natural progression.”

Constantia Valley Tourism is also a proud member of Cape Town Tourism.

V The office is open from Monday to Friday from 09:00 until 16:00. On Saturday and Sunday they are open from 10:00 to 17:00
