Train outing

2018-10-23 06:01

The Vredenheim Wildlife and Winery in Stellenbosch invites you to a unique rail experience, “Where Rail Meets Wine”, on Saturday 10 November.

The train departs Cape Town Station and train trekkers are set to enjoy a scenic journey on Metrorail’s Business Express through the Stellenbosch Winelands, heading north to Vredenheim Wildlife and Winery – home to the big cats!

Guests can enjoy a superb range of wines, a delectable lunch at Barrique Restaurant located on the premises and a visit to the Big Cats Park – home to two brown lions, three white lions, a caracal, a leopard and two Bengal tigers.

The cost is R350 per person and R210 per child under the age of 12. The cost includes transportation with security and an ambassador, refreshment on arrival, wine tasting, Big Cat Park entry and lunch. You have a choice of a traditional bobotie dish or hake and chips, with a dessert. A kiddies’ menu is also available. This is an unbeatable price of which you should take advantage. If you want to join the fun, contact promotions@metrorail.co.za.
