Three Mitchell’s Plain Police Station detectives have been promoted to the rank of sergeant following a combined 30 years of service.

The detectives were officially introduced to the station after their weekly service at the Mitchell’s Plain Police Station on Tuesday last week.

Detective sergeants Kevin Bussak, Warren Adams and Raven Govender were officially promoted, effective Friday 1 December 2017.

The officers were welcomed and presented with their new rank epaulets, replacing those of constable. They then refreshed their oath to uphold the law with the reciting of the police code of conduct.

Bussak, Adams and Govender have been in the force for close to 12 years each and have been stationed at the Mitchell’s Plain Police Station for 11 years.
