Anti-gang unit detectives were unwavering in their pursuit of the suspects after a five-year-old boy was killed during a shoot-out between warring gangs in Drury Court, Lavender Hill on Saturday 21 December. A 22-year-old victim was also shot and seriously wounded during the incident. He was taken to hospital for medical assistance. On 23 December, two suspects, aged 24 and 29, were apprehended in connection with the murder and attempted murder. The two suspects are believed to be linked to a series of other cases. They have since appeared in court.
