Twenty-seven people were arrested in a four hour road block – a joint effort between Diep River police and the traffic department – on Main Road on Saturday 4 June.
There were 26 people arrested for drunk driving and one person arrested with a stolen motorbike.
The operation happened between the hours of 00:00 and 04:00.
Warrant Officer Keith Chandler says traffic officers had a zero tolerance operation and the results were remarkable.
“As the police we welcome the joint forces fight against crime, and wishes to thank all traffic officers involved in their fantastic work,” he says.
