Two people were injured on Monday (22 May) when a light motor vehicle rear-ended a stationary bakkie on the M3 Highway in Constantia.

According to a report from ER24 paramedics, a paramedic was returning to his branch when he came across the incident.

ER24 spokesperson, Russel Meiring, says the wrecked light motor vehicle was found on the side of the road while the bakkie was found 100 metres down the road.

“Paramedics assessed the patients and found that two men from the bakkie had sustained minor to moderate injuries. The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to a nearby hospital for further care. The cause of the collision is not yet known but local authorities were on scene for further investigations.”
