The Early Childhood Development Forum in Vrygrond, together with Safeline, organised a safety awareness event as part of its Easter programme to make sure that children are kept safe.

About 403 children of different crèches in the area attended with staff and volunteers during the school holiday. They were given various safety tips.

A total of 10 schools that are members of the forum also took part in the activities.

Children aged between three and 14 were taught about their private parts and emergency numbers and given safety awareness talks.

The children interacted through songs and talks. They also received Easter eggs afterwards.
