If there’s a wedding in your future you can catch some ideas this weekend when the Jolly Carp Organic Market hosts a Vintage Eco-Wedding Expo.

On Saturday the focus is on the best-men and bridesmaids as well as a look at ideas for what the children in the entourage can wear.

There’s light snacks, champagne and orange juice after the show which starts at 15:00 but the expo opens at 13:00.

Marzia Barry is also part of the entertainment on the day.

On Sunday the group Faze4 will be entertaining at the expo with a full bridal show starting at 15:00.

Petrina Roberts from The Jolly Carp points out that this expo is also an opportunity for wedding vendors and service providers to showcase what they can offer couples for that special day.

“We want to give couples planning that special day a chance to see all the options available to them,” she says.

“This is the chance for companies in this service industry to be here and show off their options when it comes to every aspect like the transport, decor and even as far as the bachelorette and stag parties.

“When it comes to catering and the day itself we want to see your selection of cakes and dinners even planning your honeymoon.

“The charge for vendors is only R300 and that includes a food voucher for the Sunday event.”

Tickets for the expo are R100 for both days and includes a voucher for the Sunday lunch. Entrance is free for children.

The Jolly Carp is at 38 Sasmeer Road in Retreat with both days starting at 13:00.
