LETTER: Who is behind the shootings?

2016-04-26 06:00

Regarding gangs on the Cape Flats:

I am always very saddened when I hear of the innocent people being killed for no reason by these sub-humans, and other innocents maimed for life. These gangsters have no understanding of the pain and suffering they deliberately cause through their madness.

But my biggest concern is: Who is supplying them the ammunition?

We know that many firearms are stolen and many are even supplied by other sub-humans but where does the ammunition come from?

Why do we not hear of that?

Surely if the suppliers of ammunition can be identified, prosecuted and sentenced to lengthy jail terms then perhaps there should be a drop in the killings. When these sub-humans are arrested with the guns surely the police should be able to extract that information of the suppliers of the ammunition.

I ask: Can it be that some policemen are supplying them so we do not hear about that?
