A woman was arrested for dealing in liquor without a valid liquor licence. According to a statement, officers attached to the Mitchell’s Plain firearms liquor and secondhand goods unit executed several search warrants focusing on the illegal sale of liquor in Tafelsig on Wednesday 18 September. The statement said at about 10:40 officers executed a search at a house in Matroosberg Street, Tafelsig after receiving information that liquor was being sold without a valid liquor licence. Officers found 421F of liquor hidden inside a locked bedroom. Preliminary investigations indicated that the woman had a valid licence to sell liquor. The 62-year-old is expected to appear in the Mitchell’s Plain magistrate’s court on a charge relating to dealing in liquor without a valid liquor licence.
